Materials
Needed
Wood
box with cut out on top
Acrylic Paint
Clear Varathane
Mini Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Cardboard
Cotton Batten (amount will vary on size of box chosen)
Material For Lining of Box (I used White Velvet amount will
vary on size of box chosen)
Mini Screw Driver
Invitation
Paint Brushes
Masking Tape

Instructions
- Remove
hardware from the box
- Tape
off the cut out so as not to get any paint on it
- Paint
the box with Acrylic Paint (Alternative you can use wood
stain if wanting the natural look)
- Wait
for that to dry and apply a second coat
- Later
you apply one coat of Varathane ,follow instructions on
the can for the second coat
- Measure
the interior of your box
- Cut
cardboard rectangles to cover the bottom and five sides
cut them just slightly smaller than actual size
- Wrap
and glue two layers of cotton batten around each the cardboard
pieces
- Cut
material to overlap the edges of the cardboard by an inch
and glue around the cardboard
- Place
glue on the back of each piece and put in the side pieces
first snugly fitting in the bottom piece last
- Remove
tape from the cut out part
- Glue
gun the edges of the invitation and fit invitation so
it shows well
- Put
hardware back into place
